Kealakapawa is a Hawaiian cultural dance school led by Kumu Michael Kaʻilipūnohu Canopin, founded in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. We are presently located in Ōsaka, Japan, and have been here since 2005. Our dance school offers classes in hula ʻauana (modern hula), hula ʻōlapa (traditional hula), a relaxed hula ʻauana class, and a fundamentals class.

Throughout the year, there are many performance opportunities for all our students. Aside from local seasonal shows, we have traveled to participate in the annual Prince Lot Hula Festival at the historic ʻIolani Palace in Honolulu. Those trips were definitely exciting and a memorable highlight for us.

We welcome you to join us... Come and learn the cultural dances of Hawaiʻi. For more information on registering for a trial lesson or observing one of our classes, please email us at kealakapawa.2020@gmail.com
